12/29/13 Mall Day

So today, I went to the Westfield Mall in Santa Anita with my buddies later in the evening round 5:00. If you haven't been to this mall, you are missing out on a lot. This mall is mainly used by people living in Arcadia, Pasadena(cause Pasadena has higher end shops), Monrovia, San Marino, and any place near those. The mall has a promenade with higher end shops, and inside the mall is a mixture of high end and common shops. Some shops would include Forever 21, H&M, Mac, Sephora, Lush, JC Penny, Nordstroms, etc... OMG I was like so excited when the mall opened their Mac store, cause now, I can ogle the products and gush about them to my friends. Guys, if I had like 100 bucks, I would go to the Mac store and buy everything I can for that much money. The Sephora is also really nice cause it's really big and usually well stocked with new products. If you don't like the big crowd in Sephora, you can go to the smaller one inside JC Penny. The LUSH store is absolutely amazing as well, and the store people are so friendly and nice. The other day, I didn't have enough money to buy the Mint Juleps lip balm thingy, so I asked for a sample, and they gave me soo much. People have been raving about LUSH and I agree with them. The shop is amazingly smelling and all the products work so well and the best part, it's all natural.

While I was roaming around, I decided to buy my brother some pants and bought some sweatpants like pants with a drawstring. I bought one in gray, faded blue, and faded purplish blue. I bought the pants from Cotton On Kids.

(Guys and Gals my brother is 6 so this is what he wears)

And for myself, I bought this top from Forever 21. It's a really pretty pale yellow flowy top, with a cutout white collar. It's pretty see through so ya'll have to wear it with a tank top or something. This top would be really cute with a white skirt or a high-low skirt.

$16.99 + Tax = $18.52

(The rest of the shirt looks like this)
(This is the collar)

I also bought some bath bombs from LUSH.

(This is the Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb)

I will do a separate review on both the bath bombs that I bought in another post.

Firstly, I'll just say that this bath bomb smells like the LUSH store and it is quite strong but hopefully it'll simmer down in the bath. It claims to leave you feeling refreshed and calm so we'll see what happens there.
(The Ickle Bot Bath Bomb)

This bath bomb is meant for putting kids to sleep at night because it has the scents of lavender and chamomile. I'll do a review on this one as well. This one has a faint smell, but it smells like a refreshing aroma therapy oil.

That is all for today, but don't fret, I'll be back tomorrow with a whole new post for ya'll.

Buhbye,
Priya

12/28/13 Fun Day

Today was a really chill day 'cause I woke up at 12:00 in the morning and that's practically half a day you know. I got yelled at like 80 times cause apparently we were supposed to go somewhere really special and that I was making everyone late. Finally I hopped into the shower and made myself presentable in formal Indian attire. I was wearing a REALLY baggy trouser type pants(kinda like M.C. Hammer pants, but not really) with little purple flowers on them and a really long green top with magenta flowers on them. If you really wanna know, what it looked like, I'll post a link down below. (Keep in mind, that this isn't what my outfit actually looks like, but it's the same style.)

(It looks like that except my top is longer ant the colors are different)

So anyways, after changing I had my hair in a fishtail, and for my makeup, I wore the Rimmel Scandal Eyeshadow in Bad Girl Bronze, and on top, the foresty green shadow from the Elf Beach Beauty Palette. I used the Maybelline BIG Great Lash Mascara and I opted for the Rimmel Stay Matte powder on my t-zone.
We then left for the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills which took like 45 minutes and I have to say, I thought that this would be boring, bu the temple was gorgeous. The architecture was absolutely amazing and the inside was even better.
(The temple from the outside, they also have a fountain)

(The inside was completely made out of marble and the details are so intricate)

I wasn't expecting much out of this temple, but it really did the Indian temples proud. The inside is completely illuminated by light reflecting off of white crystalline marble, and each pillar is so intricately carved, you could stare at it for ages. There are two domes and on the inside of each dome, there are like a trillion god like statues representing each value (ie. harmony, non-violence....). This is truly a place to visit if you live near Chino Hills in California.

Anyways, that's it for today, I'll see you tomorrow with a new place to visit.

Buhbye,
Priya

    Summer

Since this is my first blog post, I decided I'd do a "What did I do over the summer?" post. I know what ya'll are thinking, Why would she do a summer post during the winter ? Well, in my tradition we don't really celebrate Christmas and all, but we still have a tree and stuff. Instead of receiving presents we give presents to others. Well so without further ado, my summer:

                                                                  Amber Fort
It was raining during the time, my family and I went to this place and I got completely soaked. You should have seen the courtyard, it was like a huge puddle and everywhere you went, you would step into a huge water hole. In spite of the rain, we managed to have so much fun and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking due to the rain. The rain made the surrounding hills, look like pillows of cotton and the atmosphere was just perfect. Although we got soaked in the rain, we still had fun.

This was the waterfront that they had. Apparently a long time ago, the royal family used to use the floating garden island as a vacation monument. The government to this day, preserves the garden and it's looking better than ever.

This is the view from the terrace of the fort. I love how real and authentic the buildings look and how they complement the scenery as well.

So this is a bit of a joke. LOL!! So apparently in                                                                                     the old times, the kings and queens used to be                                                                                       cannibals and ate human beings. This is the pot                                                                                     that they cooked the human beings in and at the                                                                                     place they also had a masher that they crushed                                                                                     the humans with. It's really gross. I know.

So anyways that is just a part of my lovely trip in India with my family and friends. I will be updating my blog every day (hopefully, sorry if i don't cause of school and homework) and ther's more to come.

BUhbye,
Priya
